Help for the self-employed

Yesterday Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced that self-employed people can get a grant worth 80% of their profits, up to £2,500 a month. It's open to anyone who earns over half of their income from self-employment, has profits of up to £50,000 a year, and filed a return for the 2018-19 tax year. Those eligible will be contacted by HMRC, and the grant will be paid from the start of June.

“Don’t move house”

The government has paralysed the housing market with an instruction to wannabe home buyers and sellers that they should put their plans on hold. Technically, you are allowed to sell your home but you can’t let anyone view it.
